Located in Lower Bong County, Liberia, Taongi National University (TNU) is a testament to faith, perseverance, and a commitment to academic excellence rooted in Christian values.
Founded in 2012 in response to a vision, TNU emerged from humble beginnings without material resources but with a steadfast dedication to providing a solid, Bible-based education for students preparing to serve God in various fields.

Our Journey

From merging Dominion University Iasi in Romania, Effulgence College in Paynesville, Liberia, and Bethesda International University Liberia, TNU has grown through faith and support.

Today, we are proud to operate on 100 acres of donated land, poised to complete an eight-classroom building by summer 2024. This facility will feature modern amenities, including classrooms, a library, and a computer lab, supporting our mission to foster academic and spiritual growth.

Guided Growth and Expansion

Under the leadership of Dr. Mike Sonpon and with unwavering faith, TNU continues to overcome challenges, trusting in God’s provision for each step forward.

We anticipate completing additional facilities—a dormitory and separate library and computer lab building—by 2025, shaping a vibrant campus environment conducive to learning and personal development.

TNU is recognized by the National Commission of Higher Education (NCHE), affirming our authority to offer and confer Bachelor’s degrees.

With a tuition fee of $16.00 per semester hour, we aim to make quality education attainable for students in an economically challenged environment.
Additionally, through our sponsorship program, individuals can support a full-time student for $240.00 per semester, contributing to the educational journey of promising individuals.
